Vera lived in Gretna Springs, PA, and loved meeting with her friends and neighbors to sew items for impoverished people in other countries. She enjoyed gardening and helping others. Unfortunately, she encountered some health challenges, and her daughters looked for places for her to live where she could still remain active and also be safe. Thanks to you, Vera found a new community at Welsh Mountain Home.
Vera shared that she learned to sew in high school. Then she worked in a sewing factory when her daughters were young. She continues to enjoy making quilts for family members, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is very active, so when she had to move, she was worried about being able to keep her freedom and still help others.
Because of your support of Welsh Mountain Home, Vera can still find activities that involve helping others. She helps garden and still enjoys sewing. She is joyful and has found Welsh Mountain Home to be a good place to settle. Thank you for giving Vera the freedom to enjoy activities and help others while living in a safe place.
